What is the 70-Day Gratitude Challenge?
Learn what and why the 70-Day Gratitude Challenge is so transformative... btw, I misspeak in this video. The first one was in 2024 (not 2004)
Live LIGHT 70-Day Gratitude Challenge: Embrace Giving Thanks with your Whole Heart
Welcome to the Live LIGHT 70-Day Gratitude Challenge! Over 70 days, we are on a transformative journey of choosing gratitude, feeling its profound impact, and showing appreciation in our daily lives.
Inspired by Psalm 138:1, where we are called to give thanks with our whole heart, this challenge is designed to help us cultivate a deeper sense of thankfulness in every aspect of our lives.
It is transformative.
What's the Challenge?
Every day for 70 days, give thanks with your whole heart. This means you:
- Choose to give thanks
- Feel grateful for what you give thanks for
- Show appreciation for what you feel gratitude for
Why 70 Days?
It’s theologically significant. 70 can symbolize a sense of fullness or completeness in God’s plan for salvation, reflecting the idea that the message of Jesus is for all people. After 21 days you’re 10% happier. In 42 days you get into a routine. In 63 days you’re really close to solidifying a habit. In 70 days there is a strengthening of neural pathways.
After 21 days of practicing Gratitude

The Live LIGHT 70-Day Gratitude Challenge is an initiative designed to help people cultivate a life-long mindset of gratitude and positivity.
Every day for 70 days...
- Decide to give thanks
- Feel Gratitude
- Show Appreciation for what you feel gratitude for
In 21 days we're 10% happier. In 3 sets of 21 days (63-70 days) we re-wire our neural pathways so it becomes effortless to always give thanks.
The Live LIGHT 70-Day Gratitude Challenge is to decide to give thanks, feel gratitude and show appreciation every day for 70 days.
-
Absolutely NOT! Of all the studies I've looked at the benefits of gratitude, only one looked at religious affiliation. Gratitude is good for everyone!
The tools I create to help all have a biblical bent, but you don't need to use them.
This is great news for you if you want to take the challenge anywhere.
You can ask your in unbelieving family members to join you or even invite your co-workers or mom's group, or book club or...any where.
The key is to do 3 simple things (you don't have to mention "your whole heart" or why 70 days has biblical significance).
Every day for 70 days...
- Decide to give thanks
- Feel gratitude
- Show appreciation for what you feel gratitude for
And watch what happens to your thoughts and emotions.
-
You can do a 70-Day Gratitude Challenge any time that fits your schedule. You don't need my help to do one. I only suggest you do 3 things...
Every day for 70 days...
- Decide to give thanks
- Feel Gratitude
- Show Appreciation for what you feel gratitude for
If you want my help, consider the Course, the Course + Community and the Course + Community + Clarity Options that are always available for you.
-
We have 3 different options to help you with the 70-Day Gratitude Challenge. These options are available whenever you choose to do a 70-Day Gratitude Challenge, although one you'll need to wait for one feature for when we're doing a Live Challenge.
Let me explain.
The Course Option
The course is all the reflections and gratitude prompts for all the 70 days. These are decidedly Christian based, so it's not helpful to bring non-christians through. But you have access to the reflections and prompts anytime you need them. It's the lowest price.
The Course + Community Option
You get access to course AND you get Chalet Access to the Live LIGHT Cascade Chalet - our online community. You can join us at schedule times or use the space anytime you want and have time. You also get access to our Gratitude HUB where you can get replays and can comment on podcasts, live casts, blog posts AND announcements. It's worth the price.
The Course + Community + Clarity Option
You get everything in the Course + Community AND 10-Week Gratitude Group Coaching--which happens during the Live Campaign--AND the Live LIGHT with Your Whole Heart Course. Learn the 7 things the Bible Tells us do with our whole heart and how to apply it in the day-to-day of our everyday. Avoid cognitive avoidance, cognitive dissonance and toxic behaviour. If you can afford it, it's the best value.
-
Group coaching--due to the fact we create safe space for people self-express their thoughts, feeling and emotions without judgement, criticism or condemnation--are not recorded. You'll have access to the notes and can probably catch up with someone in the Cascade Chalet if you want to know what was taught.
